Should I use a removable or a fixed vagina for my sex doll?

Choosing a Removable or Fixed Vagina For a Sex Doll

Fixed and Removable Vaginas are available for most sex dolls, with the exception of Zelex SLE dolls, which are designed with a fixed only option.

Our recommendation is a removable vagina, for various reasons, especially if your doll is TPE.

Fixed Vaginas:

  • Fixed Vaginas are made of exactly the same TPE or silicone as the rest of your doll. This means that they will feel the same as the rest of the doll. Vaginal tissue is generally softer and more pliable than the other parts of a woman’s body, but on a doll, the material is uniform throughout. A TPE doll made from very soft TPE will have a correspondingly soft fixed vagina. However, a silicone doll made from firm silicone will have a very firm fixed vagina. In some cases, this may make the fixed vagina uncomfortable, if not impossible, to use. An exception is Zelex SLE, which are made from a special soft blend of silicone.
  • They are part of your overall doll. Should any damage occur to your sex doll’s fixed vagina, that’s your entire doll damaged. For this reason, a TPE doll with a fixed vagina will need to be discarded very quickly, unless used with a Femidom (female condom) for every use. With a normal condom, or using a TPE doll raw, no matter how careful you are, lubricant will collect inside the vaginal canal. If the doll has a fixed vagina, that lubricant will find its way into the doll’s body.
  • The tightness and texture of the love doll’s fixed vagina is just that – fixed. The potential insertable girth, and other physical attributes of the passage, cannot be changed.

Removable Vaginas:

  • You can experiment with vagina inserts of different internal girth, texture and softness, depending on your brand of doll. Some companies, like WM Dolls for example, have inserts available with openings that differ in width.
  • If you damage your sex doll’s removable vagina, for example if it’s torn, then you can remove, throw away and replace it. This is only an option for a doll with a removable vagina.
  • You do not have to remove the insert and clean it with each use, if you use a Femidom, or female condom. This is also true for sex dolls with fixed vaginas, but is mentioned to allay fears of damaging the doll’s body with frequent removal and replacement of the insert.

Some Myths About Fixed Vaginas vs Removable Vaginas:

  • Realism: There is a myth that abounds in the sex doll public that fixed vaginas are “more realistic”. Neither option is particularly realistic, but a fixed vagina is less so – because it is just a gaping dark tunnel.
  • You can see the removable vagina poking out: When the insert is in place, it’s not visible, apart from the more human looking vestibule area. With the legs closed, both options look exactly the same.
  • They’re hard to place/remove/clean: It takes about a minute to put an insert into place, and slightly longer to remove one. We do not recommend pulling it in and out with every use. We recommend using a removable vagina with a Femidom (female condom). This completely removes any necessity to take out the insert, and may also remove the need to clean your doll at all after use, as sometimes no body fluids land on the doll at all.
